We have just finished Metal tech and will be moving onto Multi Materials where I will be showing the kids how to make things with du kit, which is a polymer clay that you can play with and then bake to make jewellery or anything you can imagine!  I'm really looking forward to that!

Goings on at Tamatea Intermediate, the last 2 weeks of this term will be SMP.....  Student Market Place.  We will be a community going to work each day making a produce from recycled items and earning a wage for their work.  On the last day we will have a big Market day where the students get to set up a stall and sell their products to all other students staff and family that come to school for market day.  It's a lot of fun and a lot of learning about the grown up world of earning a wage and spending your hard earned cash on all the things you need to make your produce including hire of tools, rooms, computers etc.  They even have to pay TAX!!

So term 3 is a busy time with only 3 weeks left of this round of tech. We'll be off to science soon.
